BUT IF YOU'RE TERRIBLY SIMPLE, YOU'RE SIMPLY TERRIBLE."

Before I finally decided to have a profile on FB, I promised myself I won't let it run my life. Thank God it hasn't. But I just had a Facebook-caused procastination moment that made me lose a paid writing opportunity as it expired on me, happening on one of those rare days that I lingered longer than approving Friend Requests. The opp was due today but I got lost profile-hopping and poring through photos and posts of friends about their top 5 favorite sushis (duh, I STILL SERIOUSLY DON'T GET THE POINT!) while the paid opp hung on to the last strands of eligibility.
I won't let that happen again. It's always wonderful keeping in touch with friends and seeing how good they are doing, I'd choose them over anything precious anytime. But losing income for finding out someone's last visit to the potty? Come on! Anyhoo...
Monday had been real nice to me lately, so no more complaining! I talked to my mom for a long time and it just lifted my spirits when when she told me that they will soon set the date of their vacation to visit us here. After a trip to New Zealand!?! I just want them to have fun. It's my parent's wedding anniversary on the 23rd and I haven't even decided what to get them, considering there are squillions of gift ideas for parents around. I'm late again. I hate that. I will make up on Mother's Day and shop for mothers day gifts ahead before procastination (or taking too long to decide) spoils my thoughtfulness again. Usually I want to give the best, then I end up being to picky I couldn't decide at all! Maybe I'll "divvy up" with my sibs again, so our resources go a long way. Do you do that too? Split the cost with others so you can give a really great and bombastic present without too much of a damage? That's just a thought. Last Christmasit was a laptop divided by three. Not bad.
What else happened today? I updated you about our software adventure at work already. It's been a very benign day compared to what we all expected and feared.
Life is good.
For dinner, hubby cooked Italian sausages on our new, fresh from the UPS truck, NuWave oven.
Life is very good.
